Problems with OLC info - Ver 1.4 beta 5

Postby Guest » Thu Sep 15, 2005 6:35 pm

Hi guys,

First of all, congrats for the module. I'm trying to make a standalone version (almost got it working) but I'm having little trouble with FN_output.php.

The problem is that the field Max Distance is empty. All other fields are OK (eg. Linear Distance, OLC Distance).

I'm using Version 1.4 Beta 5, downloaded yesterday :-)

The output from the scoreOLC.php is:

[0] => MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE 56722
[1] => BEST_FLIGHT_TYPE FREE_FLIGHT
[2] => FLIGHT_KM 60.755
[3] => FLIGHT_POINTS 91.133
[4] => p0001 16:32:00 S20:44.227 W70:9.423
[5] => p0278 18:19:55 S20:26.948 W70:6.984 32.301 km
[6] => p0352 18:49:55 S20:21.459 W70:9.456 11.042 km
[7] => p0408 19:09:05 S20:17.201 W70:6.431 9.482 km
[8] => p0459 19:31:00 S20:13.652 W70:8.979 7.930 km )

#debug:0
MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE=56722 #
#BEST_FLIGHT_TYPE=FREE_FLIGHT #
#FLIGHT_KM=60.755 #
#FLIGHT_POINTS=91.133 #
#turnpoint1=S20:44.227 W70:9.423 #
#turnpoint2=S20:26.948 W70:6.984#
#turnpoint3=S20:21.459 W70:9.456#
#turnpoint4=S20:17.201 W70:6.431#
#turnpoint5=S20:13.652 W70:8.979#

Could it be a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

The problem is that the field Max Distance is empty. All other fields are OK (eg. Linear Distance, OLC Distance).

MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE=56722 #

You mean that in the flight display screen (function showFlight() )
the $flight->MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE is 0 although
correctly computed at scoreOLC.php ?

Manolis,

Thanks for the fast response.

You can see the problem here: http://parablog.com.ar/modules/leonardo/
In any flight you select, the Max Distance is set to 0.

I got a bit lost in the code :). The output from the scoreOLC.php is the one I put above. AND the variable $flight->MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE is set to the value that is shown in the OLC.

However, in the middle of the process, this value is lost somewhere... or I put my fingers in the wrong place ;)

most probably , it is due to some changes you made...

try to DEBUG the functions (all in flightData.php)
getOLCscore()
uncoment the line // echo $var_name."=".$var_value."#<br>";

the function getFlightFromDB()
and putFlightToDB

print the values of $this->MAX_LINEAR_DISTANCE

every now and then to see when it gets reset

The problem has been fixed. It was due to a debug line I added in the scoreOLC.php file and it was messing up the output.

Thanks!!
